During our residency, we interacted with the local people, recording their voices and collecting autographs. All became part of the project. Several ideas evolved after the Iceland Residency.
Blue – Blood – Red began as reflection on the sea and the land near the sea, but ideas about the people and how they survived crept in;
a land of change – fire and ice, blood and water.

Poem Notes is a visual interpretation of the process of creating a narrative poem as it evolves – the scribbling, the crossing out, the changing of words – sentences and rhythms emerging from the chaos.
This idea evolved and other books emerged – Iceland Notes, Iceland Voices – while fragments of the scanned notebooks of the poet can be glimpsed as textural elements in other works.
